Slate Medicines Names Kenneth Koblan as Chief Scientific Officer

Slate Medicines Inc. said it appointed Kenneth Koblan, PhD, as its new Chief Scientific Officer, having previously served as Head of Research and Development at Vesalius Therapeutics, and at Sumitomo Pharma America as Chief Scientific Officer and Head of Development Operations.

Dr. Koblan is a biopharmaceutical R&D leader with more than 30 years of experience across drug discovery and development, was elected to the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology in 2022, and has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and 192 patent applications, the company stated.

He holds a PhD from Johns Hopkins University and a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
