Kirsten Harmon Joins Vinson & Elkins as NY-Based Corporate Partner

Vinson & Elkins said Kirsten Harmon is the firm’s latest New York-based partner in its Corporate practice, having previously served at as partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.

Ms. Harmon has experience on a broad range of capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings, high-yield debt, and equity and equity-linked securities offerings, the firm stated. Her practice spans industries like technology, infrastructure, industrials, aerospace and defense, and healthcare, while she also has experience handling transactions in Latin America, it said.

“Kirsten brings extensive capital markets experience in areas where investor interest and deal activity have accelerated significantly, including technology, infrastructure, industrials, and aerospace and defense,” said Jim Fox, Vice Chair at Vinson & Elkins.

Ms. Harmon holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. She has also been a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Committee since 2023, it stated.
