Shift4 Q2 Revenue Surges 34%, Adjusts 2026 Outlook

Shift4 Payments, Inc. (NYSE: FOUR) said second quarter gross revenue increased 34% to $1.295 billion compared to the year prior, with volume up 22% to reach $61 billion.

Net income was $24 million and net income per share was $0.08 on a basic and diluted basis, while gross profit rose 53% to $420 million, it stated.

EBITDA increased 45% to $238 million compared to the previous year, with adjusted EBITDA up 39% to $284 million, the company reported.

Shift4 announced changes in its 2026 fiscal outlook and now expects volume between $240 billion to $260 billion, adjusted EBITDA of $1.15 billion to $1.18 billion, and non-GAAP earnings per share between $5.15 to $5.35 compared to $5.50 to $5.70. Market stock price fell more than 10% after this announcement.

The company is experiencing customer momentum and ranks first in U.S. hospitality and sports and entertainment, and second for restaurants, while also being number one in global luxury retail, it said. Notable customer wins include Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Patagonia, Buffalo Bills, Texas A&M, and Massanutten Resort, Shift4 stated.

“The second quarter of 2026 reinforced three themes: the durability of our growth, the global appetite for our products, and the strength of our position at the center of the experience economy,” said Taylor Lauber, Shift4 CEO. “Each of these themes showed up clearly in our results, and should give conviction as to the plan we’ve been executing successfully against.”
