About Dan Galpern
Dan Galpern is Chief Executive Officer of DanceOne, having been appointed to the role in January 2025. Previously, he was a senior partner with TZP Group, a leading lower middle market private equity firm with approximately $2 billion under management, since 2008. With TZP Group, he led the thesis development and strategic investment that created DanceOne in August 2023 – the largest institutional investment in the dance industry to date (previous coverage in Exec Edge: https://executives-edge.com/tzp-group-makes-largest-institutional-dance-deal-in-history-to-create-danceone/).
Dan began his career in 1996 as a Mergers and Acquisitions Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. In 2000, he joined TD Capital Communications Partners as an Associate and was promoted to Vice President in 2002. At TD Capital, Dan originated, executed and monitored private equity investments in the media, communications and business services industries. In 2003, he joined as Executive Vice President and then became COO and Head of Strategy at CurtCo Media Labs, LLC, a media-focused private equity fund and holding company for the Robb Report Family of Publications, which under Dan’s leadership grew from four publishing brands to an international integrated media platform with fifteen media brands.
Dan currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Lift Brands, ASSOS of Switzerland, Christy Sports, SA Company, SAXX and DanceOne. For over two decades, he has also served as a member of the Board of Children’s Rights, Inc., an organization dedicated to protecting child welfare, including his current role as Chairman, and is a member of the Gotham Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization and is a Chairman Emeritus of the Executive Committee.
Dan received his B.S. in Political Science from Washington University in 1993 and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1996.
