Planet Fitness, Inc. (NYSE:PLNT) said first-quarter total revenue increased 11.5% to $276.7 million compared to the year prior, while system-wide same club sales grew 6.1%.
Adjusted net income was $50.0 million, or $0.59 per diluted share, compared to $47.3 million, or $0.53 per diluted share the year prior, it stated.
The company said it opened 19 new clubs during the first quarter with the total number of clubs reaching 2,741 by March 31, 2025.
“We ended the first quarter with approximately 20.6 million members, an increase of approximately 900,000 from the end of 2024, and we grew system-wide same club sales by 6.1 percent,” said Colleen Keating, Planet Fitness CEO.
